Once again my 10 yr old daughter is stuck with the inevitable ‘new age explorers’ assignment for Year 5. After two weeks of colouring, ‘researching’ and agonising over what the other kids are doing… I made the mistake of suggesting she use her brothers from two years ago. He then informed us that he’d in fact done the same assignment in both year 5 & 6. I could have suggested she reference my assignment from circa 1965. I’m keen to start a homework exchange site along the lines of eBay, where kids/parents can obtain written assignments and the inevitable dioramas, handed down through the generations. So if someone can convince me this is little more than busy work…?
