    The experimenter in the photograph is not Dr. Val McDowall, but his associate, Thomas M. B. Elliott. Dr. Val McDowall was the photographer. Both men are regarded as the Pioneers of Radio and Television in Queensland, Australia. ca. 1921-1938.
