Assumptions we make

Ian McKee reminded me of a recent report in the Australian about apparent student dissatisfaction over University of Western Sydneys use of Podcasts in substituting f2f teaching. I wonder how many other assumptions we make about students ‘apparent’ preference for online learning. Students are perceptive when they feel they are not being exposed to a satisfactory learning situation. Perhaps we are seeing the beginning of a counter movement back to quality interactive learning- whether its f2f or online.
